CEMENT CONCRETE MATERIAL CALCULATOR

WATCH HELP VIDEO

EXAMPLE WITH CALCULATION STEPs:

  • STEP-1

(A) Concrete volume in cum = Volume of casting (Length x Breadth x Height) in m= 10x1x1m (Assume) = 10 cum
(B) Dry Volume Factor for Concrete = 1.54* Wet volume of concrete mix is 54 % higher than dry volume
  • SETP-2

(C) Concrete wet volume in cum = (A) x (B)= 10 x 1.54 = 15.4 cum

Concrete Ratio = ( Cement :Sand :Aggregate)(Assume) = 1 : 1.5 : 3 i.e. M10-(1:3:6), M15-(1:2:4), M20-(1:1.5:3), M25-(1:1:2), M30-(1:1:1.5), M40-(1:1.62:2.96)
Sum of Ratio = (Cement + Sand + Aggregate)= (1+1.5+3)= 5.5
  • SETP-3

(CV) Required Cement Volume in cum = (C) x (Cement Ratio/Sum of Ratio)= 15.4 x (1/5.5) = 2.8 cum
Cement in Bag = (CV) / 0.034722 = 2.8/0.034722 cum = 80.64 Bags* Volume of 1 Bag Cement is 0.034722 Cum
(SV) Required Sand Volume in cum = (C) x (Sand Ratio/Sum of Ratio)= 15.4 x (1.5/5.5) = 4.2 cum
Sand in Cft = (CV) x 35.3147= 2.8 x 35.3147 cum = 148.32 Cft* 1 m3 = 35.3147 Cft
(AV) Required Aggregate Volume in cum = (C) x (Aggregate Ratio/Sum of Ratio)= 15.4 x (3/5.5) = 8.4 cum
Aggregate in Cft = (CV) x 35.3147= 8.4 x 35.3147 cum = 296.64 Cft* 1 m3 = 35.3147 Cft

FAQs:

  1. What is Dry Volume Factor for Concrete ?

Dry volume of concrete mix is 54 % higher than wet volume so, When we calculate the mix proportion of concrete it should be multiplied with 1.54, its call Dry Volumn Factor of Concrete
  1. What is Cement, Sand & Aggregate Ratio ?

This is the Volumn ratio of mixing Concrete, This ratio should as per your concrete grade i.e. - M10-(1:3:6), M15-(1:2:4), M20-(1:1.5:3), M25-(1:1:2), M30-(1:1:1.5), M40-(1:1.62:2.96)
  1. What is Water Cement Ratio ?

The water–cement ratio is the ratio of the weight of water to the weight of cement used in a concrete mix.
